Annual Degree/Prize Awarding ceremony at Jamia Ubaidia 2011
Annual degree/prize awarding ceremony was held at Jamia Ubaidia in Faisalabad on May 26, 2011. The ceremony started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Qari Ahamad Hassan recited from the Holy Quran while Imteaz Qadri praised with Naat (a poem in praise of Prophet Muhammad PBUH).
Syed Muhammad Zakaria Director Jamia Ubaidia welcomed the guests and expressed his views about the importance of the ceremony. He told to the audience that the 44 students (boys & girls) who are receiving the Degree of Ulama today have spent their precious nine years for achieving it and 35 students (boys & girls) became Hafiz. The day has come for which they have been waiting for years. I congratulate to all of you and the 25 students (boys & girls) who have completed their grade 10th. Hazrat Aqdas Syed Javed Hussain Shah Sb, the patron in chief of the institution expressed his views that I am proud of you for being a part of this institution. You are knowledgeable now and there must be difference between you and the ones who have not knowledge. Dear students! You know that the world is under the threat of terrorism and as you are leaving this institution, I advise you to be the messengers of peace. Be in peace and proclaim peace. Islam is religion of peace, tolerance, and human dignity and you have to prove this through, your lives that you are true followers of Islam. We all have to combat the threats that the world is facing today and the role of Ulama is very important. You have to provide positive directions to the followers of Islam being a role model and this can be only possible when human values are grown in you. Always keep in mind Quran and Sunnah. May Allah SWT accept all of you in his path to serve humanity and spread the message of Islam.

In the end degrees, certificates and prizes were distributed in the students. The students were honored with the turbans (caps) by Sheikh Ul Haadith Moulana Abdulmajeed. And honorable guests from different sects of Islam attended the ceremony. Mulana Mufti Muhammad Essa Sb said the prayer before the closing of the ceremony. Dinner was served to all the 5000 guests who participated in the annual ceremony.
